Sacred space generates positive energy, a sense of calm and an inner knowing that all will be OK. I Remember the first yoga class I went to after Brian passed away, it was a very hard step to take. I sat in my car in front of the yoga studio and cried. I called a girlfriend, "I don't think I can do this". It felt soooo vulnerable but I did it. It is still vulnerable. It is a place where I get still and be with my thoughts and uncomfortable feelings. I set an intention that I will connect with Brian and connect with the place within myself that is wiser then my ego self.
I go to yoga with the hope that I will walk out of the class with a little more strength and opennesses to recreate a new life. This sacred space, this self care practice and the support of my family and friends are my saving grace. No matter what we are experiencing in life, sacred space can generate positive energy, a sense of calm and an inner knowing that all will be OK. What are your sacred space practices?
